Muddled in the Middle can help. In this series, you can connect with peers going through the same stuff and learn simple, brain-based techniques to help you cultivate calm through the maelstrom that is middle school. You’ll even get tips for setting up routines at home!This class is for 6th-8th graders and is a 4 week series focusing on mindfulness for middle schoolers.
This series will explore the brain-body connection through activities and games, mindful movement, breath work, and both group and individual reflection. Each week will include tips for creating a home practice to reinforce the information presented in class.
Led by Beth Vandergraph. Beth is both an educator and a student of children. She has worked with children for more than 20 years in a variety of settings and has been exploring various forms of mindful/embodied practices (including yoga) for more than a decade. Beth has been designing and implementing mindfulness programming for young people since 2015. She is inspired by the spontaneity, receptivity, and courage young people bring to new moments.
