We heard your requests for a workshop for middle schoolers during the slower months of summer!
Mindfulness for Middle Schoolers is fun filled week of activities designed to help young people understand as well as develop healthy ways to cope with the changes of a growing body and mind, with special emphasis on the stressors that kids experience today. With a focus on self-awareness as the foundation for self-regulation, this workshop is especially helpful for worriers and those who struggle with attention.
Just as we learn to exercise our bodies for good physical health, we can learn to exercise our minds. This workshop will help young people begin to understand the importance of good practices for a healthy mind. Enroll your children in grades rising 6th to rising 9th in this workshop to help them learn to become aware of their body, mind and feelings and to develop the tools to deal with life changes and other people.

- Mindful Movement
- Personal Reflection
- Active listening
- Mindful eating
Cost: $145 per child, all materials included

Instructor: Beth Vandergraph
Beth is both an educator and a student of children. She has worked with children for more than 20 years in a variety of settings and has practiced yoga for nearly a decade. She is inspired by the spontaneity, receptivity, and courage children bring to new moments.
NOTE: Thank you for choosing the Center for Mindful Living's Mindfulness Camp for your child! Please fill out the registration form completely. Also, the Authorization and Release form will need to be signed and submitted by the first day of class. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early on the first day with your camper to ensure that we have time to greet and process everyone. Thank you!
